The head to Donna Lee is pretty intimidating, but once you get that down the changes really aren't too hard.

To me Donna Lee's theme is not so difficult and the changes are Back Home Again In Indiana, but why do you comment that when we play Ornithology?

I've listened to most of the stuff this young lady has on You Tube, mostly Dixieland Crackerjacks. She can flat play. This is a great take on Ornithology. I'd love to hear her have a crack at "Donna Lee," but that's nearly impossible on trumpet or alto. Maybe Urbie could, but he's 82. Great stuff!

In fact Selena and I often did Donny Lee. Selena can do it, but we are not often asked to play bebop professionally. Of course there are unpaid jam sessions enough where we can do it, but we also have to make living, that's why so many dixieland videos are on Youtube. Kind regards,

I love female Brass players... Somethin bout a girl with a trumpet or trombone is just SEXY to me :)...lol am I the only one to feel this?

So whoever is playing sax. Who are you checking out? Usually those lines have accents and duuding tonguing in them. Or maybe the audio quality isn't picking them up.
