@impoliterobot not true. The more carbohydrates you have in your stomach, the longer the alcohol takes to absorb in your blood stream. The rag in this case is the carbs in your stomach, and once your stomach digests those carbs, the alcohol released to your blood stream at the rate of digestion as opposed to the rate of consumption. Its why you get drunker when you dont eat, and also why you carbo-load before a big night of drinking.
