Subtitled: MasterKnightDH, you are my HERO.

I have to give massive props to MasterKnightDH for telling me how to emulate this game properly, and I totally worship him for this. This LP is for you, man.

As well as anyone else who likes this game.

Advance Wars is a popular turn-based Strategy game made by Intelligent Systems following the Wars series which has been huge in Japan. Advance Wars: Days of Ruin(also known as Dark Conflict in Europe) is the 4th game in the AW saga, but totally deviates from the past 3 titles. The world is in ruin, and it's up to you to put it back together. Hope rides on your shoulders. This is my favorite game in the series, and it's going to be a main Let's Play.

I'm using my laptop to record this as well as CamStudio, which I haven't used since I was testing out FE4. I don't know how to get proper recording settings with this thing for DS games, so any help will be nice.

In this episode, I start the game and Chapter 1. A student of Rubinelle's military academy named Will has just clawed his way out of some rubble and is desperately looking for survivors. All he finds, however, is trouble.

Enter The Beast, a rabid hound of war who's out to do the bandit thing we know well. He corners Will and forces him to run. Fortunately, Will gets assistance in the form of (McJesus)Brenner and Lin of Brenner's Wolves. They join and get ready to put the hurt on The Beast.

It's game time!

  • Look I'm going to give you some hints kid if you want to make a good let's play

1: Calm the fuck down I nor does anyone else want to here you screaming

2: If the text on screen is large or easy to read don't read it there are plenty of other things you could be speaking about

3: If the characters don't have a voice keep it that way it's painful to watch it really is

  • Ahahaha, how cute. You're giving me tips to an LP a lot of my fans enjoyed regardless. Hilarious.

  • @MageKnight404 retarded

  • Cool story, bro.

  • i like how they added levels in this game, in all past games units were expendable, and would be killed even if it only did the slightest damage, now we have a reason to be realistic and call squads back to city's for healing

  • Well, technically, levels were featured in Super Famicom Wars prior to DoR, in terms ov up to Level 5, I think, but yeah. Levels gives you an incentive to keep units around.

  • Hmmm. A Lyn and somebody going by "The Beast" in the first chapter of an Intelligent System's game. Why does that sound so familiar...

  • Btw, i know it's a bit too late to answer, but incase anyone else wonders. The Beast is Drakov in Dark Conflict.

  • Yeah, tell me about the name and dialogue changes. Will becomes.... Ed? Honestly?

  • Man, the voice you do for Will is just great! I think it fits the guy pretty well!

  • @TheAncienRegime Yeah, I have that one on emulator.

  • The very one.

  • @TheAncienRegime the GBA one with Lyndis, Hector, and Eliwood?
