We stopped at Speakers' Corner. Most of the speakers were a bit odd, very religious or both. There was little political speech. It is located in the north-east corner of Hyde Park, London. Speakers are allowed to speak as long as the police consider their speech lawful. There is however, no immunity from the law. No subjects are forbidden.
Riots broke out in the park in 1855, in protest over the Sunday Trading Bill, which forbade buying and selling on Sunday, the only day working people had off. These riots were hailed by Karl Marx as the beginning of the English revolution.
