It's not cruel in any way. That's just a flawed assumption. I've lived in households with cats and dogs. Size is irrelevant if the pets are not nutcases. Cats will adapt to te new order quickly. Dogs are very social animals and they'll adapt even quicker. Dogs were bred from wolves who lived in packs, and pack behaviour is still coded in the DNA of dogs: as long as you have control over your dog and clearly show the dog that the cat is a part of the family, the cat is fine.

@JJJMMM1 Well the person in the video (the catowner ?) comments on the cat attacking the dog. But the cat isn't attacking, it's merely defending it's territory. The dog is invading. Yes cats are territorial, hence the comment about 'plain ignorance or a cruel experiment'. imo you should only get a dog AND a cat if they are both very small, the rest is just cruel towards the pet.
