This wild American buffalo calf was killed with your tax dollars near West Yellowstone, Montana.

On May 5, 2011, Buffalo Field Campaign patrols found the body of a newborn calf on the side of the road. BFC had been monitoring this baby buffalo since its birth on May 2. It was introduced to the world by being hazed when only four hours old, and it was hazed on all three days of its life. The agencies directly responsible for these cruel and unnecessary actions are the Montana Department of Livestock and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. While this BFC footage is heartbreaking, it is critical that people bear witness to what the buffalo suffer, and we hope you are moved to take action. If this video disturbs you as much as we know it will, please contact Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (PAT's EMAIL) and urge them not to allow their personnel to engage in such disgusting treatment of our nations wildlife.

Please share this video clip far and wide, and urge everyone who sees it to contact Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. Our deep thanks go to Phoenix for lending his powerful song to this video.

  • No compassion whatsoever! What we have here is a failed mentality. Or should I say; a mental failure. And of course; what a waste of our tax dollars! Idiots, plain and simple.

  • I don't get this video. The calf was clearly lame. What's wrong with putting it out of its misery? Are you sure you know what your point is?

  • @lucyk6992 (LOL @ Roof Rack)

  • that's terrible

  • Horrific cruelty, by people who in truth probably have no feelings or concern for animals at all, and shouldn't be working with them. Also, at the end of the video, a small animal is seen struggling on the roof rack of a car. Is it a captured calf? It is not even dead. What is planned for it?

  • What reason is given for this hazing? In truth, it is probably done to destroy the wildlife, in order to 'develop' the land 'for humans'/capitalists/financial profit! This is sickeningly cruel! People who don't value life/nature for its own sake are not desirable human beings. I wish the good people who love nature would have the sense to remove them from life, since they have no respect for it, themselves. Save wildlife, including bison!

  • For hundreds of years the NM forests were managed by the 'People'. Starting in the 1960's "Tree hugging'. No grazing, No Logging was allowed. In only two months the Los Alamos surrounding forest fire in 2011 burned through the grossly over fueled forest. 150,000 acres later including more CO2 than produced by all USA cars and trucks. ..in one year, the fire finally burned out. Thousands of firefighters later the only answer from govt is to create more 'Fire Fighting Schools'..???

  • what is hazing?

  • would help to give the contact info

  • @xwickedshitx You could be right, but he was very young, and they're very wobbly for a while.

  • umm if it just me but that calf looks like its leg is broken so it was going to die anyway.
