1987 Chevy S-10

Custom tweed dash, full pro comp autometer guages, corbeau bucket seats 5 point harness, full roll cage, aluminun 10 gallon fuel cell and aluminum battery box relocated to the bed with a kill switch in the bumper, aluminum radiator , electric fan truck never idles over 180 degrees, new holly 650 carb, aluminum edelbrock performer heads, forged crank rods and pistons never had nitrous, 6 quart oil pan, 3" exhaust all the way, 3500 stall torque converter, turbo 350 manual valve body, very nice custom paint 5 places could use a touch up, billet brill, 4" cowl hood, aluminum weld wheels skinny front 10" rear, and to top it all off 2-10" subwoofers with the mids and highs to go with it, a pioneer cd head unit, truck needs nothing its complete and clean turns heads and hauls ASS.

I have a clean low miles 1992 S-10 Extra cab, 4.3 L V6 Fuel Injected with a 700R4 trans(Auto) My first truck and mostly stock. I have a question that I hope you can answer. What is the safest engine swap to remain street/smog legal but have power, would a Ls1/Ls2 engine swap with the right components it needs to function remain smog/street legal?
