  • um, don't ever try to disarm a trained man.. DONT DO IT! unless you at least have a carbine

  • An awesome move if you're ever in a standoff during a squirt-gun fight with your little sister.

  • The technique is not done on some burly guy hilding the gun or resisting or moving naturally in any responce. It's also un-finished.

  • I would duck and do a double spinning back kick followed by a flying backfist. I would also utilise the revrse headbutt as that is a favourite of us couch, beer and ufc window warriors !!!

  • Better done here -- the barrel is never redirected to your face: watch?v=07jnqD8wvyE

  • Very complicated. Useless against glocks as they don't have a hammer to block. when they start shooting, you end up with a broken and bloody hand.

Personally, I'd grab with the right hand and knock it to the side, elbow to the face with the left elbow or a chop/strike to the bridge of the nose. Wrench the wrist/elbow to get them to drop it and break the elbow over your knee, followed by a kick to the face.

  • With an Automatic they will have one shot if you grab the slide instead. If you move correctly this will miss you. The gun will jam and not fire till it can be cleared.

This is dangerous. But you have a gun in your face. How much more danger can you be in?

  • The initial grab is novel but if you move the body as you move the gun out of the line of fire, you don't need to grab the hammer.

Grabbing the slide/cylinder allows better leverage and faster removeal of the weapon from the attackers grasp. Plus with longer weapons the barrel is all you may have to grab at initially.

This is why the body movements are so important.

  • Way to complicated. Almost impossible under street conditions.

Also, you move to the attackers live side and put yourself in range of other potential weapons. You had little body movement, it is important to move the whole body out of the line of fire as you move the gun away from you.
