I wish Chopin had lived longer; I would have loved to hear him do ragtime too! (I find Joplin's music is pianistic, like Chopin's, and also has some of the same emotional depth. I'd've like for Scott Joplin to have lived longer too, come to think of it!)

I think that tempo suits the song really well. You can't just say 'All ragtime should be played at this speed', but this is right at the redline so it's perfect.
