Welcome to "bannering," a new method being deployed by Big Labor bosses who wish to continue exerting their influence over a marketplace where employers, customers and workers have turned sharply against using union labor.

  • this is a nice propaghanda video. nice and one sided. unions represent fair wages, safe working conditions, and a fair negotiating power against big business. without unions there would be no middle class at all. corporations are only interseted in profit. united we bargain / divided we beg. live better work union.

  • "The wages the workers receive". You mean the wage that was freely negotiated between the employee and the company? The guy is lying through his teeth.

  • @tommy90mph I wish I lived where you are. I would SUPPORT you. Keep your chin up and hold fast. The unions are BASTARDS.

  • THis is happening to my small coffeeshop in PA, too. We are opening a location in Phila and used some union labor, but not all, the carpenters we hired were a minority-owned business. Wham! the banner saying "Shame on MilkBoy Coffee." We made t-shirts that said 'shame on MilkBoy' and are selling them and giving the proceeds to the bartender next door who just had a kidney transplant and is out of work. MilkBoy is a tiny place - we have 15 employees!

  • Unions are parasites that will kill their hosts. We need Right To Work in Michigan.

  • If we could just figure out how to outsource the Union managements positions. They (unions) should be in China organizing so their (China) manufacturing base can be destroyed...............

  • I worked for a maintenance company that had both union and non-union working for them. The union guys were constantly faking how much time was going into a job. It was so obvious that our customers stopped using us. They ultimately hurt all of us.The union hired people based on who they knew, not necessarily what they knew, I was appalled. It's interesting that union leader called the union a business, ya right.

  • The union representative in the video sounds disingenuous to me

They cite free enterprise for business, and goes further by stating that is what they are doing, but a union is not a business

They are merely employees nothing more nothing less

Furthermore, they state that the wages are below area standards? Since Merit shop companies are by far the majority by upwards of 75+%, area standards are what Merit Shop companies pay their employees.

  • The unions are bad for the economy, therefore, bad for everyone except lazy workers who they protect. They lie, cheat, steal, and beat people up. I have nothing against most union workers, but the leaders and their thugs are unacceptable
