Two female Amur (aka Siberian) Tiger cubs were born at the Milwaukee County Zoo on July 8, 2009. The girls' names are Tupi & Jindi and their mom is Amba (dad Bachuta is not being exhibited with them now). The girls are named after cheeses because their dad is nicknamed The Big Cheese. They can be off exhibit or indoors since they keep the door open. Amba is also a bit shy of walking through the doors. If you go to see them you need to be patient because they will not be where you can see them all the time.
