From the 1989 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Back when the balloons were freakin' HUGE and flew high in the air. Much better than the wimpy little ones they drag around today.
Thanksgiving 1989 was special to me. I had just returned from a 6 month deployment (Navy) and was home for Thanksgiving for the first time in 3 years. We spent it at my grandmother's, which was always a tradition. Sadly, she passed away on May 24, 1997. We love and miss you, MaMa.
@mkl62 i was 9 years old that year.
