    Amazing song

    a very insightful song about personal relationships & also about putting faith in 'someone who can never love you'. Does the Christian or Islamic God (as promulgated by the power structures in each religion) really love us, or are we constantly in a hopeless struggle to to reconcile our human existence with an unrealistic conception of 'God'?

    "If it brings me to my knees, it's a bad religion....and only bad religion could have me feeling the way I do"

    It's worth thinking about.

    Methinks perhaps religion is used figuratively for the "one man cult" of his unrequited love- and deriving one's main source of happiness from another human being (who can only inevitably fail you etc...). Its a bad religion to do that. ;)
