OK, so Jesus gave us a deeper look into the law, a more detailed view, .. He helped us see closer into the spirit of the law, but His life, death, & resurrection doesn’t negate the 10 commandments, it magnifies them. And I’m sure His answer would be a simple “NO, we can’t steal.” -- hey, that looks just like the 8th commandment.
As I look Sundays way, if a jury comes to a guilty verdict on a thief, that jury is in direct violation of the New Covenant. The thief can plead his case with the judge saying: "DO NOT STEAL IS NAILED TO THE CROSS"!! Don’t give me the 10c's vs. Jesus' commandments biz cuz they look the same to me. There's only one way to spell out the fact I can’t steal and that’s DO NOT STEAL. Let’s ask Jesus .. "Lord, can we steal?", .. I doubt Jesus would need 30 comment boxes to answer.
@mrloudcry I take it Sunday looks confusing to you to? Why should I believe your interpretation of the law being nailed with no sabbath day instead of the majority who believe Sunday is the new covenant Sabbath? rhetorical
@mrloudcry I am about to block you for spamming my board if you dont quit posting so much stuff here, it's all been said before. if you want to do this then write a book & send it directly to Cove by pm please.
@mrloudcry "it was also required to perform animal sacrifices! "
now your just being silly. you know Jesus sacrifice did away with the need for animal sacrifices. that would not even apply now so why bring it up except to try and confuse those who dont understand?
@mrloudcry be honest...u left out something: the Sabbath was to be kept BESIDES (in addition to) the Sabbaths (7th day) of the Lord. the 7th day Sabbath was one of the ten commandments, not a ceremonial sabbath to be nailed. Lev 23:38.
Sabbath one of the ten commandments written in stone. the ceremonial sabbaths were written in a book, not on stone. they were put IN THE SIDE of the ark, the ten were put INSIDE the ark. clear distinctions. u know all this, why deny it.
@mrloudcry "There are no holy days in the New Covenant. " really? thats funny that Jesus told His closest followers they should pray that their flight (from destruction of Jerusalem) should not be on the Sabbath day. that was AFTER the NEW covenant was SEALED on the cross! so what Sabbath was He referring to if there are no Sabbaths now?
"Sunday is not a holy day."...well at least u got one thing right. :)
how in the world does a man go from SDA truth to antinomian fallacy? it's unreal.
@rusda2 Hello rusda2!, ... Happy Sabbath! .... & yea, mrloudcry does have at least one thing right, "Sunday is not a holy day" :)
