really cool idea but i cant help but think its not going to cool the playstation down much at all from outside of the ps3 like that ???

Turn your PS3 off, connect the controller with the USB, turn it on, press the reset button on the back of the controller (use a paper clip), unplug the USB and it should.

can you explain what you mean by spliced? and how did you get 2 fans on one usb cord? please explain

You have to wire them in parallel. Both black wires from the fans connect to the black on the usb cord and the same goes for the red connecting to red.

can u help me please it says limited amount of energy is already in controller im not using that fan but can u tell me how to fix it am i suppose 2 leav ps3 off for a while or buy a new usb???

it is to high to use use something that uses less volts
