Josee Chouinard -- 1994 Canadians Free Skate

This is probably Josee's best performance of her "American in Paris" free skate as an eligible skater.
Susan Humphreys had just skated an amazing performance, and the pressure was on. This just shows that Josee was able to skate pretty well under pressure, and is the only time I've ever seen her attempt the second triple Lutz in competition.

I think she would have been 2nd in the SP and 4th in the LP (because we all know that Yuka Sato still would have been underscored by the judges in the LP) for a 4th place finish. However, I think these performances would have won her a bronze medal at Worlds.

Such a delightful skater...I hated seeing this program collapse at Worlds that year. When she is on - what a joy to watch!

she usually performed well at canadians ... and in her biography she stated she never thought about doing well at worlds and focussed only on canadians and being the best in canada... she never beleived she would do well at worlds

she attempted the second triple lutz in her 1996 Nationals, which is actually the only clean triple she landed in it (had fallen on the first attempt).

i wonder where josee would have finished in norway had she skated her canadian SP and LP there. 4th or 5th?
