  • R.I.P. John McCarthy

  • Thanks Speechrighter (I think?). Actually the three trumpet transcription of Louis's great solo was done deliberately as a tribute and added harmony parts to it. Although I adore Louis more than most people on this earth, even he couldn't play harmonies at the same time! By the way, all three of us were capable of doing Louis solo on our own! Cheers

  • Thanks very much for this wonderful upload!

  • You're welcome. Excellent Utube user name by the way!

  • i'm sure i'v got the same trumpet dad used at that show...not the same as... the one....including the mouthpieces...i keep it in a safe place.

  • I appreciate the faithfulness to the spirit and pace of Fletcher Henderson's original, which included Louis Armstrong's brilliant cornet solo. But I noticed it took three trumpeters to duplicate what Louis did back in 1925! Your saxophone player did a great job with an apparently spontaneous solo.

  • Hehe, big Eleanor Powell fan here. I'm gonna use the music you're uploading for my tap dance practice.
