@AnE000002 Linda Ruth Tosetti (his granddaughter) was quoted saying that he knew that he drank and partied all the time. There is also other incidents where he has been known for throwing things into the stands and getting into a fist fight with fans. The media isn't like it is today, they didn't report these things and they weren't recorded to the extent that they are now. There are personal accounts that people have said about how he was a dick. Ruth was a sleazy guy.
