Ihate when everyone whine about the effects, think if they had done them like in lets say Enterprise they whould have stood out too much, i think the effects look fine and are really well made...

I thought the effects on The Ultimate Computer was bad, but this is shocking...

The shot at 1:22 is probably the only one I really have a complaint with. The way the Klingon ship seems to swerve off is so doofy and rings of "THIS IS COMPUTER ANIMATION!"

I always thought the original series music was the best out of all the series that would follow about setting the mood of a scene.

1:35 to 1:40 Don't you just love that music as the Enterprise and the Klingon warship faced off. The acting, the music, and the remastered effects were perfect in that scene. Everytime I think of that I music I think with a smile, "Okay, buckle up. Here we go!"

I'm not fan of the remastered thing, so I saw this sequence just today. Hated it! I'd say that only some 20% of the new effects is really good... the rest is dreadful!

Hate that Klingon CGI model, esp.the blue impulse engines (4 of them and blue?) All in the wrong place, and why are they even on???? Also hate the "choices" made on the angles and movements of the two ships in battle, the should have matched the feel of the original more!
