  • from 0:30 until it clips at 1:08 is some of the best footage if have of the seat with sound where u can really see how it reacts to engine rattle, braking, acc and all in very small subtle ways sometimes ...

  • Hey mate, you thought of using a beamer with stereoscopic shutter glasses? I've got one set up with my simconmotion, its completely sick

  • Why did you stop "talking"...explain M8!

    :P

    you mean like 3d glasses?

well to start of with this is just my temp. solution as the cockpit and motion is still being build and perfected...this was the most "cost-effective" at the time...

but i still don´t know what my final "dislay" will be...so talk to me ;)

  • Yep 3d shutters and 85hz DLP projection. It is _10 times_ better.

Gimme a few days and I'll take some pictures (and hopefully vid) of the rig I've spent weeks putting together now - there is a hell of a lot to explain, today though I've got vector-based wind simulation working (4 * fans, high velocity FL,FR,RL and RR, with a custom written rFactor plugin to operate all based on speed and direction) - the results are awesome - skid, spin, always get wind from the correct direction :)

  • :p

looking forward to hearing more about this...for sure ;)

  • a few days has gone by m8 ;)

    ...and im still curious :p

  • So am I. I've had so many problems with projectors I've had to put this on hold- I'm waiting for one to be repaired so I can carry on finishing the permanant projector frame. I've now added 3 * buttkicker gamers (1 on pedals, 2 on Seat), NIXIM brake mod (best money you'll ever spend if you have a G25) and a Buttkicker LFE (on raised platform) to the rig for more tactile feedback.

I've spent a lot of time writing custom software drivers also but more on that later. Cant wait to get this done!
