Barack W. Bush?

Amongst liberals, libertarians, and even some conservatives, there has considerable "hope" that a Barack Obama presidency would radically transform Bush administration policies regarding the "war on terror." And, on certain issues, the new administration has delivered a measured amount of "change." But were Obama's executive orders banning torture and closing down the prison at Guantanamo Bay, signed on his first two days in office, just a head fake? Were they designed to placate a certain segment of his base, while actually continuing—or even expanding—many of Bush administration terrorism policies?

Anyone who actually believed that Obama would change the War on Terror policy is an idiot.

War on Terror just like War on Drugs or Economic Crisis is an excellent tool for a government to expand itself, exert its power over people, and strip people of their liberty.

Don't get suckered by either Democrats or Republicans. There is no meaningful difference between them. The real fight throughout history has been and still is between the power of the State and the liberty of People .

You mean torture doesn't mean long term bombardment of twisted information that attacks a person making stress? You mean torture doesn't include the attempt of dressing up as your enemies' friends in order to bash a person and fake accidental shootings? You mean terror isn't when they tell you that they are applying cyber attacks? You mean torture isn't when they hurt your head and subject you to tests that map your thoughts. So it is ok then to move a person around for your espionage work?
