@mrmarkhenry09 3mm LED's, 30 gauge wire, soldering gun. The flashing LED is probably 5mm. You can buy LEDs that flash by themselves. Everything can be bought cheap on ebay.

The Red Light goes on the Left (Port Side)
The Green goes on the Right (Star Board Side) The White goes on the top of the tail.
Get an awesome set of super bright Navigation lights at Hobbycity. com for about $9.00 Plug and Play :)

When I was first learning this (for water craft as well as aircraft), I remembered that PORT = shorter word = red = LEFT = shorter word...
In other words, starboard is a longer word, so is right, so is green.
My $.02
But on real helicopters red light is always on the left side. Why yours is opposite?

You are so right you know I should put up a new video of this kit because now the lights have been corrected and the wire is in side the canopy. You have great eye :-) Happy Flying

At the time of the video the wires had not been cut yet to fit inside of the canopy. There is a connector wired into the the battery wiring, that way the lights don't have to be on all the time. Thanks
