This 1945 L.A. recording by Ory's Creole Band is of the rarely heard creole song "Blanche Touquatoux". This lovely piece demonstrates the latin rhythms that were prevalent in the development of jazz and features both Ory and his wife Cecile on vocal. Ory on tbn, Joe Darensbourg clt,Mutt Carey tpt, Buster Wilson pno, Bud Scott g, Ed Garland bass, Minor Hall dms. Fabulous band.
This is art of love.

I'm so amazed at how this country was in it's infancy and growing years. Man, we were fearless.
This just reminds me of the time when the US, was just that the US.
