  • kurnous34, thx for your vidz. i dont wanna go through the hassle of dowel rods, wire, etc. so i am buying rings. 1. are those rings incredibly tough to open/close, 2. will about 100 dollars of 16g galvanized steel make a suit, and 3. can i make a good profit doing this? (not considering time consumption) plz let me know

  • @SlapHappyEdits 1. Not at all. 2a. Dont use galvanized ppl won't buy it 2b. Most likely. 3. probably not on your own if your buying the rings, but who knows never know till you try. good luck

  • That is the worst drawing of a man ever.... :P

However, I did learn a lot and thank you very much. Let's hope I succeed in making my chainmail suit.

  • hi i just bought a 1/4 mile of 16g galvanized wire and i plan to make a t-shirt with 3/8 id rings, 4 in 1 euro.will that work or do i need more wire..plz reply

  • Depends on the time period, according to what little research I've done. If you go back far enough I'm sure it was just a tunic and some leather, but by the 12th century chainmaille leggings (chauses) were in use to protect the legs, and padded jackets (aketon) were worn under the hauberk.

  • You're the best - I've spent days looking for a relatively foolproof pattern for starting a shirt and this is the only one that I don't think I'll be able to screw up! Thanks man!

  • Great vid, it helps a lot! however, when you start, don't you want to add more rings to the front (Chest part) of the shirt so that is can pull downward until it stops at your neck? thanks!

  • @kurnous34 thanks for the advice, I think i'll hold off from chainmail till i have a little more money lol

  • Mate do you think it is feasible to make a suit in a day?
