to 'chezkenny'.....a half squat is actually the same thing as a parallel squat, a full squat is the same thing as ass to the ground, and I believe you meant to say this is a quarter squat. it's actually deeper than a quarter squat.
the kid would gain more benefit by dropping the weight and lifting properly instead of being encouraged to do more and more. I heard someone "add another plate on there"....which is stupid. He is strong no doubt, and why would you want to push your athlete with that strength to the point of possible injury? what does a 600lbs partial prove? nothing. And your spotters need to remove their hands from the bar. If he cant lift it...he drops it to the rack.
better than most of the squats by football players on here. Pretty close to depth, if u taught him proper form he could prolly get 550 to depth easily.
This actually isn't that bad. He's at 90 degrees of flexion and damn close to parallel. It's not ATG, but it's a pretty functional 600 lb squat.

Hate people that don't go low enough and another thing that I hate even more is coaches that allow this and accept it as a good lift.

Nice strength. Do a quick utube search for SQUATPRECISION. This develops a maximum pound, legal depth squat.
