@kikkiak actually it is living, it is a ressurection plant. Types of plants that can "ressurect" after actually being dead or in a hybernative state for long periods of time. They evolved to live in harsh climates, the rose of jericho for example is from north africa. There are alot of these types of plants, the lichen is also considered a ressurection plant. No tricks involved water just triggers the "on" switch in the plant and it springs to life. Amazing yes, miracle? no. Just science :)

You are not supposed to leave your plant in the water for so long. Otherwise,it will grow mold on it.

Indio Products. Google, "Indio Products Rose of Jericho". I had one years back. I placed it in water before going to bed and when I woke up it was completely unfurled and green. Unfortuantley, a couple days all this mold started to grow on it. Maybe I had too much water? -Dunno.
