Walter Jones Seahawks Great Block

Another thing I like about this is that, after the play, Jones just walks off. He doesn't brag, or stand over Rucker and taunt him, or point out what a great block he made. He doesn't even try to high-five a teammate. What a terrific guy. If ever a lineman had a right to be a complete jerk because of his ability, it was Walter Jones. And that is not what he did.

I hate how the announcers didn't even recoginize the block!!! That was probly the block of the decade and all they had to say was Shaun Alexander!!!

He did it in the best day in Seahawks history.

This is a short clip. I'm sure on the replay, the announcers gave Walter his just due for an awesome block.

Simply amazing. What a beast,

It's at the point where I don't even watch Shaun on these great runs (sad thing too) I just watch the blocking.

@Gungho73 ya i always knew he was one of the greats but man ya he rocked some great d-lineman. Im a seahawks fan and have been watching them since 1994 when i started playing pee wee football haha. and ive always put him up with Steve Largent. the dude is a monster. One battle i would love to see is Walter Jones and Cortez Kennedy epic

@cburns1689 yeah, the dude's the only guy I've seen manhandle Dwight Freeney of the colts. You can block the dude, but manhandle? Forget about it. He's a true blocker, by which I mean he blocks correctly instead of the majority of O-Line players in the NFL who hold on nearly every single play. Thats why he's a future HOF. Oh, and being selected by madden himself on the team of the decade 2000's, amongst other notable titles.

wow Walter Jones is a super bad ass
Martin Rucker was a hell of a defensive end, too.
