I was first introduce to this song back in 2006 by Sachal Vasandani, who does a brilliant pop jazz version of this song, then I learned that his was not the original. So I did some research and found the original by Iron and Wine and really fell in love with the song. Although, I love both styles of this song, I was still trying to understand the meaning of the song through the two videos for this song and I didn't get it until now...you explained it succinctly and for that I thank you.
