Infiltrator Part II: The Next Day is the 1988 sequel to the original Infiltrator and released two years after the first installation. In general the gameplay and such are mostly similar to the first game, although the sequel refines various aspects of the original game with more complex mission objectives during the ground missions and additional cutscenes.
When Infiltrator was released for NES in 1989, it used aspects from both the first Infiltrator and the sequel. For example, the first mission was taken from The Next Day while the second and third missions were based on the original Infiltrator. Unfortunately the NES version lacked much of the refinement of the C64 versions (and possibly some other computer versions), although the controls of the flight sequences were adapted reasonably well to the gamepad.
These videos about Infiltrator Part II: The Next Day concentrate on the differences from the original game. However, my earlier videos about the C64 version of the original Infiltrator tell about the basics and gameplay in detail including both the flight sequences and ground missions.

I played this game so much as a kid. I didn't have the first game, nor could I find it. This came in a five pack of flight games and I played it endlessly. I remember even the manual was hilarious.
Lol, the legacy lives on as one of my friend's father's name is Jim and I have always called him Jimbo-Baby.
