Yeah, because anorexics have never heard someone tell them "think about the starving people in africa". Anorexia nervosa is a mental disorder. Do you understand that? Eating disorders are a lot more complex than "derr, I wanna look like Victoria Beckham". As sincere and well meaning you are, you should have done some research on the condition before making this video. See all those dislikes and negative comments? You brought it on yourself for sheer willful ignorance.

This video resonates with the meaning that anorexia is a choice. Which, by this logic, means that my grandmother could have chosen not to have cancer, my friend not to have crones disease, and I could simply will myself to have a bigger penis.

This is actually pretty fun. Does anyone else wanna take a whack at horrible conditions we can just "choose" not to be in? I think tomorrow I'll choose the sky to be green.

@DarsheeMusic this is a continuation - i wanted to let you know also, that although i didn't wanna eat anything when she died, i still did but i didn't put any weight on at all. my doc told me it could be caused by stress and i was stressed because you loose weight when you're stressed. anyway i just wanted you to know that. i do eat normally but it's really hard. anyway if you ever wanna talk even if you wanna tear strips off me pls let me and i'll send you my email address. xx

@DarsheeMusic thank you and i really hope you do get better. i'm sorry i was so judgemental and narrow minded. yes this video is stupid. actually after your 2nd reply i was thinking & i want you to know that in 2010 when my dog got sick i was so stressd that i lost like 5kgs i got down to 43kgs. when she died last aug 2011 i didn't wanna eat anything. i lost heaps, i'm tryin to put it on again but it's so hard. i'm sorry for being mean i understand now. take care & get better xx.

One more thing for people who still think that eating disorders are a choice or a lifestyle. Binge eating disorders are also eating disorders. Who would want to choose to have a binge eating disorder? Fabulous lifestyle, yeah sure.

crikey, so many people completely missed the point of this video. Those images were not of people the maker was accusing of being anorexic, they were that thin because they cant find food, the point of the video was to show how selfish eating disorders are, if you have food eat it. And I know anorexia is not a choice, trust me, but its something every sufferer should consider

@11ktay it can be, theres a girl in my school who who only didn't eat tills he was the size she wanted to be it's not that she was born that way she just thought there was no other way you not born anorexic..

@TheInternetRageGirl Actually, if you study the roots of anorexia or bulimia, you would come to the conclusion that it is like a drug. You succumb to it by peer pressure because you do want to look like x-person or better than y-person Once into it, it warps your brain into repeating the cycle etc. I'm also familiar with the "control over self" and "crying out for help" sob story. FYI: Homosexuality was a mental disorder too. Glad we got over that one.
