The True Self

The True Self was made exclusively for my SCAD Portfolio. Through an idea my father had, I wrote a script and decided on the locations. After filming a rough preview, I polished the ideas I wanted to portray. The intent of the movie was to effectively tell a simple story through a very short film. By innovatively using resources available to me I made this film without the need of spending any money. The camera I used was a Sony HDR-HC3 Handycam, and the editing program used was Vegas Movie Studio 7.0. This movie was shot and edited in high definition but has been downgraded to standard DV.

This was actually an incredible Short. Just the way you directed your shots and making it so your main char. appears from the neck down only took alot of skill and planing. Very Well done. The only small thing I didn't Like about the movie was the choice of music, but thats just me. I think the story didn't really have that classical music motif fitting with it, but agian, thats just my opinion. REALLY GOOD JOB.
