I've had a lot of questions asked to me on my How to Make a Let's Play video, and rather than responding to them all, I made a video that responds to some of them.

Sorry if yours didn't get answered, but I'll respond to those in comment form.

  • where do the videos go? becouse i made a few test vids and i can't find them

  • @Otanashi1 I'm pretty sure if you're using CamStudio that you get to choose which directory you save your videos to after you record them. Try saving them to your "My Videos" folder, if you have one.

  • Umm... is CamStudio free? If not, is there any free recording software like that?

  • @ktofthedx21 Yeah, CamStudio's free. If you can't work with CamStudio, I'd suggest trying HyperCam 2, which is also now free.

  • how about a free screen recorder?

  • Banjo kazooie songs. That made me happy.

  • I tried recording footage of me playing a game on steam, but when I went back to watch the video it was flashing alot and was out of sync, does anybody know what the problem could be?

  • @orangeninjadaniel You don't edit videos with Windows Media Player. I think you mean Windows Live Movie Maker.

Anyways, I'm not entirely sure if you need Audacity, but it's miles easier for me to use that than it is to use the "Record Audio from Speakers" function on CamStudio, which, as far as I can tell, is almost broken. I've never used Windows Media Player or Windows Movie Maker for recording anything, and Audacity is completely free, so I'd try that instead.
