I ran this shortly after my 14th birthday-- basically as soon as I was old enough. My uncle took me and when we arrived at our campsite at Big Eddy we were shocked to see a river that was practically dry.
The river was being drained, as shortly before we got there someone had jumped off the rocks into the cribworks. People said he came up, went back down and wasn't seen again.
Before our run in the morning they opened the dam again.
