The suggestion of a new way of enjoying 1/12th scale R/C car.
Battery and ESC are for small RC. Motor is 380 classes.I use these for a 1/12th RC car.
I suggest this category by the name of "Airlve"

  • ii kangae! 12bun no ichi wa, irronna tsukaikata ga atta hoo ga ii.

12th scale can take sedan, beetle, even kombi bodies and changing the motor down is a good idea as well. I have 5 12th scale cars that I am rebuilding. I used to race in Japan in Kyuushyu Saga. Yes, even the oldest ones can be competive if you know how to tune them.

  • if you run all new parts, it can get costly, but im building one, i got an old kit for 30$ and have planned on buying some used parts. my goal is to build it for under $100, but around half way through, im probably gonna change that goal to under $150

  • Why bother? "normal" 1/12th isn't a costly class to run in electric R/C, you can be competitive with previous generation cars, cells and radio gear.

I've recently come back to the sport and I'm running an RC12L4 2nd hand off ebay, using my old GP 3300 cells, old 19-turn rebuildable stock motor, and KO Esprit II radio gear. This has seen me be the fastest person in the club on a few occasions now at my local, AND if I wanted to enter national events, my car is at least homologated to do so!
