I don't know , I'm playing the Carter with stock George L pick-ups and useing a Peavey 1000 with all the tone controls set to the suggested settings in the owners manual.The only effect I use is a little bit of (about 31/2) reverb I've checked out your you tube site and you have a great too.I think sometimes we listen to our selves so much that we get so used to hearing our own tone that it doesn't sound that good anymore, Carl
