The person who said that wasn't a japanese, it was an editor for new york times don't go hating on the japanese animators. 2011 definitely had good animes, you just didn't watch it, better than hollywood crap at least. Till now americans are still making kiddie cg animations, they're still doing the whole "good vs evil" crap. And the good always wins and they live happily ever after bullshit. We wanna see a more serious and darker show.

These motherfuckers! Did they gaffe American anime by saying they were selling out by making hentai/echi anime, what the fuck!? Today the biggest industry in kiddie hentai comes from Japan alone, so much of it has been made, that most of the new animes are filled with lolicon stuff. Japan animation lost it a long time ago, they're just fucking everything up even more. 2011 not a single decent anime story has been made, what a record, huh.
