How is it possable to justify a 10 day paid vacation when millions of people, that they are suposed to represent, are about to suffer. I can remember several years ago, the company I am laid off from was about to go belly up. The employees had taken a 10% cut in pay and loss of bonuses to help the company stay out of termoil. It seems only fair that are elected officials should be doing the same.

My kids are having to go without because i have lost my benefits...that by the way i have WORKED for all my life!!!! FYI i also pay taxes out of my unemployment!!! does any one know how long can u get uemployment in california?? i got laid off in sept 2009 i been getting it for almost two yrs i was making like 12 bucks an hour i was making good money with the over time a check every week but when i got laid off i was mad but anyways rigth now every two weeks i almost get $800 i try looking for work but only pure minimun wage jobs making like 200 bucks a week i be making more on my uemployment but i want too know whats the longest u can get this uemployment

Congress needs to stop paying unemployment to these job dodgers and buy them one way plane tickets out of the country before we go bankrupt!

I, along with several of my republican colleagues are currently working on a plan to end unemployment permanently by attaching a provision to the next budget bill that will end unemployment for good!

what Mitch is saying is the Democrats Have not Done their Congress Job correctly & obama too by not providing the tax cut on other programs (Simulas going to other countries should be cut) to proved the 16 Billion to extend the 99ers for another 20 weeks. My unemployment extension, was stopped in October 2010. I don't know what i can do now, Nov 1, 2010 i couldn't pay my rent, now im home less, I feel so bad ... @moniequa I don't think home buyers are stupid and they aren't living in their houses for free. I think they should take over migrant workers work too as long is it is about the same or more as they were making before. Of course there ar five umemployed people for every available job so it doesn't quite work that way.
