TO PLAY CERTAIN PIECES BOW HAS TO BE TIGHT

I'm not a violinist–could the bow be tight to facilitate the double stops and harmonics?

Wonderful playing but that bow is far too tight, wouldn't want him to damage what must be a very expensive bow.
