This game has amazing puzzle design - each age feels so real and organic. It has good characters and emotions but what you actually do in the game seems lacking. You just kind of do the learning ages for no reason. You're not really learning anything overall - you understand Saavedro's torment but that's about it. Riven is great because the age is occupied by real people - you use their technologies to get to where you want. It's all real and not just puzzle for its own sake. Still good though

@ilikemario8 cant remember too well cause it was a while ago but i think so yeah :D i was too scared to play the game for a while after it reall creeped me out xD

@ilikemario8 I dont know which cliff but i was just playing and when trying to make all those lamp post things face eachother on that starting place i turned around and there was this silhouette of a guy on one of the cliff edges looking down at me like saavedro says in his diary

The music when the myst logo comes up sends shivers down my spine. Had the myst collection for years just got back into as i had never gotten past riven and gave up long ago. Now im on myst 3 and i have yet to get bored tired or distracted :D it is a fantastic set of games ive yet to see anything else like them
