Absolute, utter perfection. The definitive version of an often covered Gordon Lightfoot composition and one of the highlights of their indispensable Once Upon A Time live album. Nick Reynolds and John Stewart are greatly, greatly missed.
And the best rendition. For the gentleman below .. Nick is playing a 1928 Martin tenor guitar converted to 8 strings. John is playing a custom maple 12 string built by Mario Martello. Bob is playing a Martin D-35
the instument withtenstringsisa tiplle whichgives the tinnysound . sometines hewould play a tenor guitar . does anyone know what brand name they used looks likemaybe a martin?
Love this. I was raised on this music, my father being a huge fan. I am so grateful for being exposed to this kind of music when I was young. This is my favorite version of the Trio, with Bob Shane, Nick Reynolds and John Stewart. They were always the real Kingston Trio to me, even though Dave Guard was an original member, replaced by Stewart. Thanks for posting their great version of Gordon Lightfoot's song.
@MikeBlitzMag Nice but other than Gordon himself I would pick Peter , Paul, and Mary.
