This is the 'bonus stage 2' track from the Japanese version of Outrun 2. These tracks are from Daytona USA 2 and the Japanese copy of Outrun 2 has much more arcade faithful versions of the tracks (This is the exact track you get when you select "challenge course" in Daytona USA 2: Power Edition). There are very significant differences between the Japanese version and the EU/US versions including:
* Straight away, you'll notice that you start right in front of the swinging pirate ship. In the PAL version, you start around the corner from it.
* In the first tunnel, the purple and grey kerbs do not slow you down unlike the western versions.
* The Bunki between the advanced and expert stages is fully tunneled like the arcade challenge course.
* You enter the expert course in the city straight away (bypassing a sizeable chunk of the "countryside" part of the course which is present in the western releases as well as the separate expert track in the arcade).
* In the western versions, as you are exiting the city, your car is kind of "magnetized" to the right hand wall coming out of the corner. This does not happen in the Japanese version. You can actually see me hitting the grass as I'm so used to countering this phenomena from the PAL version.
I'm sure there are other minor differences too but they are the big ones. The Scud Race / Sega Super GT tracks in the Jap version have some changes over the western releases too. For anyone interested:
Car: 288 GTO
Transmission: Manual
Video: Captured using Easycap USB saved at 29FPS, NTSC 640x480
Audio: Daytona USA 2 arcade BGM (Personally mixed)
Played on a softmodded Xbox. MS have now 100% ended support for the console and have virtually disowned it so don't look at me like that :)
The game is virtually impossible to buy nowadays so I got it through "other means".....
The Daytona USA 2 and Scud Race / Sega Super GT bonus tracks are nice, but don't look as good as the arcade versions of those games running on the Model 3 arcade board designed by SEGA and Lockheed Martin Real3D which used twin

Agreed. They are no replacement for a true port. Outrun is spectacular but these courses don't really suit the game at all. Luckily, the supermodel emulator is coming along nicely. Next release promises FFB and 360 controller support. Sound is getting there too :)

@SirHouseFly
Daytona USA 2 Power Edition was released in 1998 in the arcade
Outrun 2 released 2003 in Arcade, Late 2004 for Xbox in US/EU territories and early 2005 (the one in the video) in Japan.

how you unlock those tracks?

You need to complete the stage 4 and stage 6 missions in the outrun mission mode. The track above is from the Japanese version of Outrun 2 and differs from the US and EU versions (same with the SCUD race tracks). I have detailed the differences in the description. Also, check out the video response to see the 'western' version.
