Baby Lucas

There was a little boy in India his name was Lucas. Lucas was almost never in a bad mood unless he was hungryhaha he had the biggest appetite and he was so small but could polish off 2 plates of food no problem. Normally he wouldnt want you to help him eat and insist he hold his own spoon, but every now and then he wanted to be fed and he would let you baby him by making the plane sounds as the food went into his mouth. He was always the first one in the lunchroomand the last one out.
He was the most beautiful boy, a pot belly with skinny legs and arms and a smile that could light up the room, and he had the most ridiculous squeaky voice. Everyone loved him, he welcomed everyone and made you fall in love with him immediately. Just a small tickle of his belly and he would be in fits of laughter, you would have to stop just so he could take a breath. He loved to sit on your lap, even if you were playing with someone else he would be content to just sit there with you.
When we would go in the pool he would be afraid to go in by himself so he would sit at the edge laughing hysterically when everyone would start splashing water, and when you would carry him into the water he would cling to you so tight but once he knew he was safe he calmed down and started splashing again. A story of my friend Krystal was that one day all the older kids were getting ready to go to school and he was crying and crying that he couldnt go and finally the caretakers allowed him to go even though he was too small and he was sooo happyhaha a rare child indeed.
Lucas died on Friday October 9th 2009he was 3 years old. He was HIV positive and had a heart attack. He was an orphan at the Care and Share orphanage in Vijayawada India. I believe he was found abandoned on the side of a road or something like that. Lucas was very much a family member to me I loved him more than words can describe and will never forget what a blessing he was for me in my life. Now he is my little angel and I hope in some way his life can touch you as it did mine. Goodbye Lucas my funny little boy, I love you.
