Megaconference Jr. Overview

Megaconference Jr. is a project designed to give students in elementary through secondary schools around the world the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and contribute to each other's learning in real time, using advanced multi-point video conferencing technology.

Megaconference Jr. is open to K-12 classrooms all around the world. It is designed to be "student-driven" thus we encourage students to do all of the planning and presenting on their own, with support from their teachers, coach and/or experts in the field to help them through the process.

Internet2 University members, GigaPoPs, SEGPs, international MoU partners and appropriate governmental and educational agencies will be involved in providing high speed connectivity, videoconferencing facilities, technical support and other services to the K-12 participants.
