Believe it or not, this is the SHORT version. I've a bajillion drafts of the original sitting on my hard drive, clocking in at over 12 minutes. I was working on getting the voice-overs together, but my voice actors are kind of dodgy (I would have had to get Will drunk to get any kind of Irish accent out of him, and I just don't have that kind of time or money,) and my recording equipment went bust AND I realized there was no way I was going to get my act together for that undertaking within the next two months.
So...disclaimers. I've made no money off this (unless you count the fact that I put it all together on company time--yes I did.)
Also stole clips from the following movies: A Midsummer Night's Dream, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Princess Bride, Twelfth Night, The Libertine, Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, and a promotional video for Dell computer equipment (yes, really.)
For music, I used Must Be Dreaming by Frou Frou and Planxty Burke performed by the Boston Pops Orchestra directed by some dude named Kenneth, (I think?) who is wearing a kilt. Anyway, it's their Celtic album.
Source material: The Hunter's Moon by O.R. Melling. Go buy it and read it. No, right now. Get OFF the computer and go read. Yes, you. I don't care if you've already read it. Read it again.
Also, I'm sorry about Stiles as Gwen, it was the closest thing I could find. There seems to be a dearth of plump starlets in Hollywood these days. (In other news, Pope reportedly Catholic! More at eleven.)

k I think it is time to remember people that the characters in this book are barely teenagers . . .so Depp definitely out! Think younger and way Way hotter . . . I mean the King of the fairies rates a little more consideration :D

this is a really cool video for an amazing book. definitely my favorite in the series. Is one of those actresses in the devil's arithmetic? I feel like she is.

Oh, god, YES. Johnny Depp would make an AMAZING Finvarra. I don't know about Heath as Dara (RIP, poor Heath T_T) but not too bad of a choice.
The Hunter's Moon was just awesome. I wish they'd make a movie out of it D:

Nope. Gwen is plump or overweight or 'round' or whatever the term might be. That's the whole point, as she says herself. Heroines are always tall and thin in most stories you read. Well, she isn't!

Great job. I love the casting of Gwen and Dara- just how I imagined it. I'm not crazy about the music though, but still fantastic video!

About your choice for Gwen. I don't think it was bad. I mean, I'm not quite done with the book yet(30 odd pages left so not an expert yet) but I think her being plump might have been more of Gwen haveing a poor mental image of herself, not that she actually was. But that is just the opinion of a mildly interested reader. Wouldn't take my word for it if I were you. LOL

Finvarra--Depp as Rochester was the only character remotely close to looking like him that I had in my DVD collection at the time.

I gaurentee you, Depp would so do this if someone approached him properly and Tim Burton was on set doing something.

Burton would RUIN it and turn Findabhair into some kind of Christina Ricci rip-off. Even if she is kind of Goth to begin with.

Damn. Do I have to re-work my dream-cast now that Heath's died? :( Mind you, RWP is now, what, 40? So it's not like it would ever have REALLY happened, but still...
