Its Gothic revival suite of buildings serves as the home of the Parliament of Canada. As one of the best-known symbols in Canada, Parliament Hill has three buildings: the Centre, East and West Block and is a site of architectural beauty, historical significance and federal decision-making. The iconic Peace Tower is connected to the Centre Block and offers tremendous views of downtown Ottawa and the surrounding areas. There are a number of attractions and events in and around the Hill during the summer months like the changing of the guard and the Sound and Light Show. There are also outdoor guided and self-guided tours, which are available year-round. All events are free, but be sure to check for more information as schedules and admission are subject to change.
