  • wtf are u talking about?? stock 97 supras have 232hp not 320. and bov's dont increase horsepower whatsoever they just release excess vacuum to make the turbo more efficient. kids...dont do crack. or ull end up spewing out bullshit like this kid.

  • @skunk2rider - Just FYI, stock turbo Supras (MKIV, 93-98) are rated at 320 bhp, not 232.

  • @skunk2rider - Taken from Edmunds.com - edmunds.com/toyota/supra/review.html

"Powered by a sequential twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter 24-valve inline-6, the Turbo produced 320 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. Zero-to-60 times were in the low 5-second range. For the first time, the Supra looked and drove like an exotic performance car..."

Maybe it's YOU who shouldn't do crack. Have a great day there, chief!

  • @skunk2rider 232 for the all motor version im guessing.

  • @crzygutrsnobrdr probably, but since the car has a blow off valve, it's clearly NOT a naturally aspirated car...

  • What hp have this supra??

  • It's a stock Supra, so it's rated at 320hp - but uhhh, I heard the BOV gives it +50 horsepowerz! ;)

  • @skunk2rider uhhh your thinking of the MA70 (86.5-92) 7MGTE 232hp....

  • Hahahaha!!! Skunk2rider got punked like a little bitch!

  • @skunk2rider

LOL!! it's such an old post but i just have to laugh. You talk about spewing bullshit when you yourself spew the most shit.

    Soooooo many people exposed you.

  • @skunk2rider blow off valves dont release excess vacuum, they release excess boost pressure. furthermore they dont make the turbo more efficient they just prolong the life if the turbo...making a turbo more efficient would mean making the compressor wheel lighter to aid in spool times or adding a ceramic coating to the exhaust turbine.

FYI : Reading what you typed, all i could see was bullshit. Back to school kido

  • very clean, and not obnoxiously loud! I like.

  • @skunk2rider

its completly obvious your just a supra fanboy ........ a 2jzge has 232in stock form a gte has 320 at the crank.

If u knew that u wouldent have said what u said your a fucking idiot............i think i would know i owned one. And STFU SHITFACE jeeeeeze people like u piss me off so much......... and go drive your geo metro to work tomarrow....

  • @skunk2rider amen

  • @irlocke BOV's are designed to release vacuum pressure when your turbo's would otherwise have it thrown in thier face and force them to handle forces they are not happy with.

Installing a BOV or SBOV does not improve HP or TQ but will allow your turbo to keep spinning instead of fluttering or stalling this effect will improve your turbo's responsiveness which may make a noticeable difference when large turbo's are being used but will always increase turbo life and will help to keep them cooler

  • Is that to the wheels or to the crank?

  • @ZandrintX

Your right, except the j-spec supras are rated at 280 to the crank. The usdm Mkivs are rated to 320, and typically dyno about 290ish to the wheel, and runs mid to low 13s stock.
