The HERO Pipe (High-rise Emergency Response Offensive Pipe) is a telescopic master stream system that is safely deployed from the floor below a fire delivering the same GPM and PSI as traditional master stream devices. This is the live burn testing conducted by the Chicago Fire Department using standard nozzle and remote-controlled fog nozzle.

  • @agates1272 FDNY just used this in training and it took about 3 minutes. It was their first time using it so deployment would most likely be faster on the job. Its a great idea but like most things in the fire service it will either be way overpriced or die out in like three months.

  • This thing would take way too long to deploy and put into service. Meanwhile, the fire spreads.
