@ MiikeyG, you mean a couple of months later The fight after Lubbers was Ali's second bout against Frazier on January 28,1974 for which he had to be in ship shape and bristol hashion. Which he was by the way.

Ali had another fight a couple of days later so he didn't want to get any bruises or cuts or anything from a fight that was less important then his next fight, but that does'nt take anything away from lubbers who took a crazy beating but was to stubborn to go down ghehe respect
