No. See, first are Waku and Kodama, but third is not Daiichi, is Kako. Kako was the fifth to die. Chizu, the sixth, is just behind. Then comes Kirie, the ninth to die; then comes Maki, the eighth to die. After Machi, comes Daiichi, the third to die; then Mako, the fourth to die, Kanji, the twelfth, Anko, the eleventh, Moji, the seventh, Kana, who didn't die, Ushiro, the last to die, and Machi, the penultimate pilot.

Wait. Oh,I hadn't realized that the order was different in the anime *just started watching it*. But they still aren't holding hands in the order they died. I'm sure Anko went before Kanji. And that Ushiro was the last. Still, sorry, that order is not correct.

Thought that too, apparently there are slight differences, but I'm sure it has something to do with that.

I really liked Maki, I was sad with her death :(

Watching this ending after the last episode is the saddest thing ever. ='(

Everyone knows they and Kanji and the crazy drunken Yakuza were the best.

and it also sucks how the best characters had to die so early. We all love moji and daichi, but somehow they weren't in the bokurano alt. series which kinda made me dissappointed. Out of all the characters, moji relates to me the most. His personality, his looks(well except my blonde hair is longer and i have glasses like ushiro's) and our minds were so much alike. I really feel for moji and daichi :'(

I watched the anime and read the manga. IMO the anime is better cause it felt like the anime had more emotion in it. the manga was good too, just shows a lot more info and the deaths are a little different for some of them(kako's manga death = HOLY ****)
