  • It's totally chicken s*** that the civilian version of this shotgun has a reduced magazine capacity and a fixed rather than collapsible stock. When a tactical shotgun costs over $1500 people should get the full bore military version rather than a watered down civilian substitute!

  • ehh...id rather keep my mossberg 500

  • @dinosworld I agree it's a great shotgun. If I ever go semi-auto the M4 is the gun I want. My original point is that for the price they should give us a collapsible stock and a 6 round magazine. I understand there are Federal restrictions on importing "non-sportingt" shotguns. But Benelli USA can and should convert their sporting shotguns back to military configuration like a number of companies do with AK rifles.

  • Daves Metal Works 2 round extension 75 bucks. Slapped my Eotech 512 with Urbino Tactical stock with cheek riser. Yes its not cheap but its a beautiful gun its a pleasure to shoot I love everything about it. I have a surefire forearms and will add a surefire scout soon. Everything about this gun kicks butt. Its not cheap but again I didn't spend 1500 for a shotgun cause I wanted cheap.

  • @dinosworld The civilian M4 can certainly be upgraded but it will cost a lot more than a couple of bucks! On Amazon this morning the price for new genuine Benelli parts was $499 for the collapsible but stock and $189 for a magazine extension ( I wouldn't subject the receiver to the heat and torque necessary to install a full length high capacity magazine) . You can save a little by going for an aftermarket extension but there is no other collapsible butt stock available!

  • @shwesq for a couple more dollars all that is easily fixed...... The gun kicks ass plain and simple.... To me its worth every penny.

  • @ilovetohavelonglogin Second, if the law enforcement and the legal system fail to stop the dirtbags, we peaceful law abiding citizens have the right to defend ourselves. And if we do have to defend ourselves we should have access to the most effective weapons!

  • @ilovetohavelonglogin There are very few full autos out there the vast majority are semi. But taking your question the way you intended it I have two responses. First our legal system should be geared to catching "tweaker methheads" before they harm others with any instrumentality (knives, baseball bats, vehicles and sporting or military style firearms). The real danger is violent people not weapons as these people can always find something to harm others with!

  • @shwesq what if some tweaker methhead steals a high capacity military style fully automatic firearm?

  • @ilovetohavelonglogin Remember the most ferocious guns around are harmless if somebody doesn't decide to misuse them! The vast majority of civilians who own military style "assault weapons" and combat shotguns are law abiding citizens. Collapsing stocks, high capacity magazines and bayonet lugs are not going to induce them to commit murder. At the same time all the chicken s*** restrictions on military features are not going to keep the real sociopaths from it!

  • @ilovetohavelonglogin More likely they will reload, carry an extra gun or buy one of the after market magazine extensions available. The bottom line is that government restrictions on firearms features have little or no effect on crime rates. All the post 1989 restrictions on "warlike features" on imported AK47s did was insure that we had uglier guns that were still just as dangerous!

  • @shwesq maybe instead they will end up killing 4 not 6.
